Back in our first season, our two-part episode The Head and the Heart dissected the Ebony Salmon trade from both the logical, sensical side and the heartfelt, messy emotional perspective. It resonated with our audience in ways we didn't expect and for almost two years it was our most listened-to episode by a long shot.
It's time for another Head and Heart episode because Jaelin Howell has been traded to the Seattle Reign in exchange for Bethany Balcer. This was a gut punch for Racing fans and Tom, Bekki, and Kaitlyn spend a lot of time recounting Jae's importance to this club, city, and even our pod. We also go into detail why despite the heartbreak, it was the right move for a club desperate to break out of 9th place.
